How do I change reminder access?+

Open iPhone Settings, choose Notifications, then PillPal. You can change alerts, sounds, and badges there.

How do I erase my PillPal data?+

In PillPal, open Settings and choose Reset PillPal. Deleting the app also removes its locally stored data.

Can PillPal provide medication advice?+

No. PillPal is a tracking aid and does not replace instructions from your doctor, pharmacist, or other clinician.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how PillPal ("PillPal," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the PillPal iOS app or contact us for support. PillPal is a medication-tracking aid and is not a medical service.

2. Information handled by the app

You may enter a nickname, medication names, strengths, dose amounts, units, instructions, schedules, and dose history. This information is stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage. PillPal does not transmit this app data to us, does not create a user account, and does not use analytics or advertising SDKs.

3. Notifications and device permissions

If you choose to enable reminders, PillPal asks iOS for permission to display notifications. You can deny or change this permission at any time in iOS Settings. PillPal does not use notification permission to collect personal information.

4. Support communications

If you email us, we receive the email address and information you choose to include. We use it only to respond, troubleshoot, and improve PillPal. Email is handled by the email providers used by you and us and is subject to their own privacy practices. Please do not send sensitive medical information. You may ask us to delete your support correspondence.

5. Sharing, selling, and tracking

We do not sell your personal information. PillPal does not share app data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers, and does not track you across apps or websites. We may disclose support communications only if required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.

6. Retention and deletion

App data remains on your device until you reset PillPal or delete the app. We do not have access to that data and cannot delete it for you. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and maintain support records, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion of your support correspondence by email.

7. Children’s privacy

PillPal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has contacted us may email us to request deletion.

8. Security and important limitations

Keeping app data on your device limits exposure, but no device or storage method is completely secure. Protect your iPhone with a passcode and keep iOS up to date. PillPal is a tracking aid only; always follow the advice and instructions of a qualified clinician. For a medical emergency, contact local emergency services.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as PillPal changes. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through another appropriate notice when required.
